I just got back from Appleton, Wisconsin. It a small town about 1.5 hours away from Milwaukee. The show was Sat. night-- My Birthday. The promoter was great. He bought me a beautiful bracelet and b-day cake-which I didn't even get to enjoy b/c I am dieting.
Let me give you an outline of the weekend. We flew out of Laguardia airport at 11:30 a.m. and arrived in Appleton at 3:30 p.m. We were picked up at the airport by the promoters friend Al and his wife Candy. What a cute couple. They own a personal training studio and tanning booth. He actually created a type of T-bar row that he wants Dave Palumbo to help market. I will be adding it to his website and also creating a website for this piece of equipment. So, stay tuned.
We went back to the hotel and took a brief nap and then off to the gym. We trained at Al's home gym and did Triceps & abs. After that we went to a restaurant called, "Polly's." I have to say---my Salmon wasn't that great, but, right now--FOOD is just FOOD. I didn't feel like going out b/c I was so tired and just went back to the room to watch a movie and rest.
On Saturday morning I went to do Cardio, Tan and then get a Massage. There is nothing like a Massage on your b-day. It was great. I loved it. I then went to the gym to train Chest. We went to the Gold's gym. It wasn't long after that I had to get ready for the night show.
It was a great turn out. The audience was wonderful. I got a chance to hand out trophies to the women and take tons of pictures with fans. I met a lot of great people. I want to thank Dimitris, Al, Candy, Becky, the tanning booth girls, and all the others that hung out with us over the weekend.
I get some time off from traveling to get my life in order. Right now---I am living out of boxes. It is horrible. I just about can't take it. I hope that I get this apartment on Thompson Street.
One last thing---------Thank you DON for sending me flowers for my B-day. I was so surprised. It was very thoughtful.
I will keep you all posted. Oh -- one last thing. Don't forget to check on my Progress and quest to the USA's www.scitecnutrition.com
I want you to hear it from me first-- I made the call not to compete on Thurs. night. Dave took a look at me and said-- I am not in it to place --- I am in it to WIN--- but, I was not going to win in the shape I was in. My conditioning was off-- I didn't want to show the judges anything but my best. I was so devastated. I love to compete-- so, I had a hard time dealing with not being on stage. It was nice to finally sit back and watch what was going on around me and see things for what they really are.
Here were the TOP 5--
Congratulations to all the women. They looked great. I especially thought that Tatianna was in the best condition of her career. She had a ton of energy-- her enthusiasm was incredible. She is going to get that Pro card very soon.
I want to thank my fans for coming out to Dallas-- Don , Todd, Rich, & many more. I felt horrible that I didn't compete and show you all my posing routine and sassy posing suites. But- there is always next year. I need this time to reflect. It is going to be a good year off.
I really have a good attitude about the whole thing. I was devastated -- at first-- but, realized I made the best decision.
