Sept.18-2002
I can't believe that it is already Thurs. I want time to stand still -- everyone once in a while. I have been so crazy lately. I am going to be updating the Rx Muscle website - which is going to be a good learning experience. I am starting to reallly get into this web design stuff.
I am really mad at myself right now. Over the weekend- while I was in Miami- I had to be a show off. I didn't have my belt with me- but, still managed to do deadlifts with 315# for reps. I had a great form- so I thought. Actually - everything felt fine. I don't get it. Monday- I tried to do legs- It was killing me. It feels so tight. I am going to see a chiropractor today -- for sure on Monday. I do the stupiest things. There is no reason to risk injury at the expense of satisyfing my ego.
You will learn something about me- I do everything the hard way.
I am going to make a quick and pleasant observation. This past year has been so incredible for me. I have met some wonderful female bodybuilders in the sport. They have been so supportive and friendly. I can't tell you how much this has always been a dream of mine. We women- we need to stick together if we are ever going to promote change in the sport. I always hated to see other FBB talking bad about eachother. We are all equally working hard. We love what we do. At the end of the day- everyone of us has a beautiful physique. We have no control over the judging- who wins, who loses. In the end- we do this for our own reasons. We are all on a personal VISION QUEST.
I love and appreciate all the women in my sport. I think and look at them with much respect and admiration. I think it is just beautiful.
Thank you- Dre Dillard, Tonia Williams, Shannon Rabon, Elena Sieple, Trudy Ireland, Heather Foster, Beth Roberts, Lisa Aukland -- for giving me encouragement to press on. It really has meant a lot to me.
Also- a special thanks to Malea Jensen-- for being there for me at all my National shows. Believe me- I am no picnic during that time. It has really meant a lot.
